Passing Places

Why Passing Places ?
Anyone who has driven along the tiny lanes that criss-cross Cornwall will have seen "passing places" although they would be forgiven for not noticing them unless they had to use one.

As the name suggests, passing places are small indentations in the hedgerows and verges that provide a space for drivers to shrink their vehicles and pull into, to allow an oncoming vehicle to pass, and were my worst nightmare when I first moved to Cornwall. I now welcome and am grateful for them and have always known that any creative work featuring Cornwall would thus be named.
Whilst the majority of photographs I have shared here have been taken in Cornwall, I have added some of my favourites from other places passed.

And me - well, I don't count myself a 'photographer', I just experience the joy of capturing something on camera that has caught my attention and captured me. I don't change or enhance any of my photographs although I do crop where I believe this needs to be done; so what you see is exactly what I saw.

If you find any beauty in these pages, all credit goes to my creator without whose hand I would have no need of a camera.

All of my photographs are available on canvas or wood.

Enjoy the drive.
